An ongoing task for the bond is that a request for proposals for the construction manager general contractor is currently being advertised. There will be a pre-bid meeting on Nov. 20, the question deadline is Nov. 22 and proposals are due on Dec. 11. The selection will be as soon as possible following that date. The architectural design is also being accelerated.
Following this report from the superintendent, the board recessed as the board of education and reconvened as the board of canvassers to canvass the election results. This process is specified and scripted. There was a specialist present to assist the board in the process. The total number of votes cast were 4,401. The number of affirmative votes was 2,350 and the negative votes came in at 2,051.
The board motioned to declare the votes and then adjourned as canvassers to reconvene as the board of education once more.
