Gerald Hansen born May 26, 1925, in Molen, UT, has returned to our Heavenly Father on April 3, 2014. He is the son of Francis Leone Hansen and Julia Deborah Clegg. He married his sweetheart Vivian “Ilene” Dye on October 5, 1952. Together they raised ten sons, James, Kim, Bruce, Kevan, Steven, Max, Val, Eddy, Andy and Todd; four daughters, Kathy, Shirley, Sharon and Susan.
He loyally served his country and is a proud veteran of WWII. He worked in the coal mining industries for many years.
His hobbies included fishing, camping, hunting, photography, gardening, lapidary arts, wood working and more fishing. His greatest joys were his children and numerous grandchildren. Though small in stature he was a spiritual giant to all who knew him. He will be dearly missed.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday April 9, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Damon Palmer, located at 1880 W. Parkway Blvd (2495 S.) in West Valley City, UT. Viewing will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday evening, and one hour prior to services on Wednesday. Interment Bountiful City Cemetery.
