Just in time for Valentine’s Day, the USU Eastern Cosmetology Department is hosting a Let’s Nail Cancer fundraising event. On February 8 and 9 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 8 p.m., the cosmetology team will be available to give manicures, pedicures and gel nails. The minimum donations are $5, $10 and $15, respectively. Higher donations are encouraged and accepted.
For those that have recently had their nails done, there are still services available in the form of hand massages and wax dips.
Unable to make it to the event on these days? Gift certificates are available for purchase at the discounted rate and are valid up until April 15. Danielle Pendergrass, WHNP, of Eastern Utah’s Women’s Health is happily providing drinks and snacks on those days to go along with Go Red for Women, which promotes heart health in ladies.
All funds that are raised in this event will be divided evenly and donated to two local families: The Levanger family, for their son Tait, and the family of Kaylee Taylor. Both of these courageous children are battling leukemia.
