This Christmas, hungry, homeless, elderly and needy people in our county need your help. Community Cares, a nonprofit group, will provide Christmas dinners to the aforementioned residents, along with any other residents, on Christmas day this year. A complete holiday dinner, together with entertainment and a gift for the children, will be held at the Jennifer Leavitt Student Center at USU Eastern on Dec. 25 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. There will be transportation provided if requested. Additionally, Community Cares will be delivering dinners to the homebound throughout the county.
The executive committee is made up of a number of local residents, including Brenda Deeter, Emily Bradley, Pam Cha, Stephanie Cha, Steve Cha, Scottie Draper, Ray Haycock, Tami Huntington and Terry Johnson.
This meal is open to anyone in the community, especially those who are alone or in need on Christmas day. No reservations are required. We are also accepting donations to help cover the expenses of the dinner. Your gift to the Community Cares Christmas Dinner will help provide the meals and activities for people in our community. Any amount will be used to help with this dinner.
