After struggling to put points on the board, the USU Eastern men’s basketball team fell to Western Wyoming Community College Monday night at the BDAC. With 35.4% shooting on the night, the Golden Eagles lost, 75-83.
Josh Van Weezep came off the bench chalking up 14 points for USU Eastern. Hamdi Karoui and Andrew Hogan each added 13 points apiece while Phillip Winston scored eights for the Golden Eagles.
A rally late in the second half narrowed the scoring gap. USU Eastern outscored Western Wyoming 39-43, but the effort was too late.
The team will take to the court again on Saturday as they travel to Rangley, Colo. to take on Colorado Northwestern Community College in region action.
