Thirty four teams participated in the Mike Ballard golf tournament Saturday at the Carbon Country Club. The tournament used a four-man scramble format.
Those who showed up appeared to enjoy themselves, some insisting that their photo be taken, others laughingly hitting the golf ball while teeing off.
“It was a good turnout,” said Kenji Otani, assistant golf professional at the club.
The golf event was part of a fundraiser to benefit the Jeff Eskelsen family. The remaining part of the fundraiser was a dinner and concert that night. All proceeds went to the Eskelsen family.
The concert and dinner took place at the Carbon County Event Center. The concert featured the band “Natural Causes” with Mark Koelbel from KUTV news.
