Governor Gary R. Herbert made two stops in Emery County before finishing up his trip in Carbon County with a ribbon cutting, TV appearance and 4-wheeler ride.
Governor Herbert made his first stop at Ferron Elementary School where students put on a Liberty Kids assembly. Students involved memorized patriotic quotes and songs to earn Liberty Kids patches.
Governor Herbert then traveled with Emery County Commissioners to Millsite Golf Course to showcase the new back nine. The new back nine were completed last year. He then shot a couple of holes before leaving for Carbon County.
The Governor’s next stop was at Codale Electric in Price where the Governor participated in a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the company’s new state-of-the-art building.
“Dale is theВ epitome of what we have been trying to promote in the region of Utah,” he said. “I’m pleased to see that small businesses are still growing and expanding in the other areas of the state than the Wasatch Front.”
Governor Herbert then made an appearance on ETV Channel 10’s “Heart of Utah.” It was the second time the Governor has appeared on the program in the few months.
The whirlwind day concluded with a 4-wheeler ride with “At Your Leisure” TV in Consumer’s Canyon between Price and Helper.
