The Grand Red Devils blanked the Emery Spartans 4-0 on Friday, three days after the Spartans handed the Red Devils a 4-1 loss in Castle Dale. The loss snapped Emery’s six-game winning streak.

Both teams combined for just nine hits, with two of those off the bats of the Emery Spartans.

Koda Alton and Colton Willson had the hits for Emery, both singles.

Grand’s Masen Ward struck out nine Emery batters, earning the complete-game shutout. Cade Brazier also turned in a complete game, allowing four runs off of seven hits.

Emery (6-2, 1-1 Region 15) will play two games against South Sevier this week, beginning with a Tuesday tilt at home and a Friday contest in Monroe.
