TJ Hughes started the game off strong, scoring three quick three point baskets to help the Pirates control the game against Fruita.
Hughes finished with 13 points and seven rebounds while Jonathan Mendez led with 15 points, eight boards, and four steals to help get the 55-47 win. With the win, the Pirates advanced their strong preseason to a 10-4 record. They will host Pinnacle Friday night at home.
