The community of Green River gathered to celebrate Light the Night last week.
The parade featured floats that celebrated Christmas and the holidays. The parade started at the city park and ended at the Green River Bible Church. Afterward, the community gathered for hot chocolate and doughnuts as well as a Christmas program.
During the Christmas program, the winners of the floats were announced. First place was the Green River High School (GRHS) senior class and second was Julie Steuer while third place was tied with the GRHS freshman class and the Green River Medical Center.
Light the Night is an annual event for the city of Green River.
