Leading for much of the game, the Green River Pirates were bit by a buzzer-beating shot by Grand, losing the non-region game 60-59.

Jovini Flores led all scorers in the game with 24 points, all of which came on eight three pointers. The 24 points were also a career high for the Pirate senior. He along with four others were recognized before the game on senior night. Nate Cox, Jonathan Salinas, Joe Sarafin and Nickolas Shaffer also played in their final home games of their high school careers. Shaffer added 19 points and three threes. The Pirates hit 13 treys in the game.

Green River (2-16, 1-6 Region 19) has just one game remaining on its schedule, a Feb. 25 tilt against region-leading Monticello (15-2, 6-0 Region 19). The Bucks beat the Pirates 55-32 back on Jan. 19.
