On Tuesday evening, the Green River Pirates traveled to take on Monticello and suffered a loss at the hands of the Buckaroos.
Monticello started off strong and held the advantage through the night, taking 47 points into halftime. The Buckaroos kept their momentum in the second half and finished the game on top, 89-59.
Lucas Hatch scored 28 points, including five three pointers, while Taylor Torgerson added 19 points to help Monticello sail past Green River.
Dawson Anderson scored 20 points in the loss for the Pirates. Trey Vetere scored three three-pointers for the Green River squad.
Next up, the Pirates will play at Whitehorse on Saturday, Jan. 12.
