On Thursday morning, the Green River City Fire Department expressed their appreciation for the outpouring of support that was received during a devastating fire that occurred on July 10.
“Whether dropping off bottled water, pulling hoses, or assisting on the end of a hose, your help didn’t go unnoticed,” the fire department shared.
The fire department then stated that, with that in mind, they wanted to caution community members that no property is worth injury. In the blaze, it has been said at least two homes were completely lost. At this time, the cause of the fire and any injuries are unknown.
“Remember to be aware of your surroundings and leave all hazardous areas to the firefighters,” stated Green River Fire. “Always call 911 first in the event of an emergency.”
