Green River hosted Monument Valley Friday night in a game that was evenly matched throughout the first half.
The Pirates took a six-point lead into the locker room. The second half was a different story as Green River scored 59 of its 88 points and shot 89%, 40-45, from the free throw line, giving the Pirates the 88-52 win.
Ty Hughes led the way with 19 points. Corbin Mecham and Jonathan Mendez both had 16 apiece and Chance Pfander finished the night with 15.
Green River will next take on Whitehorse on Friday.
