Monday, the American Leigon’s Honor Guard organized a Memorial Day service, and invited Green River military, past and present to participate. Community members came to watch, to honor, and to remember the fallen soldiers.
They shared stories about the fallen, offered a Memorial Day Prayer, fired a gun salute and raised the flag. This service typically takes place each Memorial Day at the Green River Cemetery.
