While going 0-5 so far in their 2016-2017 season, the Green River High School Boys’ Basketball Team is continuing preparations for their upcoming action this weekend in the 1A Preview.
While there, the team will look for their first victory as they face off against such teams as Escalante and Wendover.
“Green River boys basketball is young this year,” head coach Tom Hughes said via email. “We are developing and building this team from young and inexperienced kids.”
While noting the team’s record, Hughes maintained that the games are making the team stronger, overall. “We always try to schedule strong team early to get ready for the region play,” he said.
“This year is going to be a tough one,” Hughes continued, “but we have a bright future ahead.”
