The Green River Pirates hosted fellow 1A foe Valley on Saturday for a doubleheader. The Pirates dropped both games on the day by a combined score of 28-10.
Game one went to extra innings and ended in the eighth when the Pirates couldn’t muster any runs in the bottom half of the inning. The game ended in Valley’s favor, 9-7. Valley ran away with game two, leading 14-0 after three innings to cruise to the 19-3 win.
Green River will take on Pinnacle Wednesday in Price. Games are slated for 2 and 4 p.m.
