On Nov. 2, Green River City will host its first Cowboy Day, which the city hopes to make an annual event. When asked why the city was launching this event, Green River City Event Coordinator Robin Nelson responded with the following:

“Our hope with Cowboy Day is to bring people to town for a good time,” she said.” Much of our community comes from a background of ‘cowboys’. We want to capitalize on that and have a great event for the community as well as for visitors to our town. We’re looking at making this an annual thing, with potential to grow and become a larger event.”
