The Emery Spartan softball team lost 12-10 to North Sanpete in Castle Dale on Tuesday.
The loss dropped the Lady Spartans’ Region 12 record to 2-2. The team currently sits in fourth place in the standings.
Emery Jumped out to an 8-1 lead and had the Lady Hawks reeling, but walks and sloppy defense allowed North Sanpete to hang around.
Despite scoring 10 runs in the first four innings, Emery left 10 runners on base.
Bryton Hess led the Spartan offense with three hits, including a triple, and a walk.
The Spartans next contest will be Wednesday at Carbon at 3:30 pm.
