BEAR Press Release
Cody Draper of Utah.com will present information about their website and its activities at the next general Castle Country Business Expansion and Retention board meeting on September 15 at the Jennifer Leavitt Student Center Alumni Room on the USU Eastern Campus.
Utah.com is a website for businesses to expand their message and appeal to visitors who come to Utah from around the globe. Their theme is based around the fact that travelers to Utah are looking for your business, whether they have heard of you or not. It is Utah.com’s goal to connect your business with those tourists. Draper said that he will be concentrating on what the website and its social media outlets are doing and can do for Carbon and Emery county’s businesses and what local business people can do to be a part of that.
BEAR’s mission is to inform, grow and improve business in the Castle Country area. This year, BEAR is not only providing pertinent information and presentations to the area on local business during its general membership meetings, but is also providing the course “Who owns the Ice House?” and entrepreneurial training program at every other meeting. The Ice House Entrepreneurship Program series is free to attend as a session, but can also be secured as a credited course or a credentialed course through BEAR. Beyond the meetings, online studies are available for a fee, but will be low cost for those who wish to move farther into the subjects presented. The course is presently in about the middle of its run with the classes finishing up toward the end of the year.
The meeting on September 15 will start at 8 a.m. and light refreshments will be served.
