Ascension St. Matthew’s Church, located at 522 North Homestead Boulevard in Price, will host an evening of Christian music on Tuesday, August 7th at 7 p.m. The performance will feature the Heavenly Harp group.

The Heavenly Harp group consists of three family members from Phoenix, Arizona. The group was founded in 2004 and tours during the summer months. Mom Karin Gunderson was trained at Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota and plays the harp, flute, piano, as well as sings. Her son, Ryan, has been composing music since he was a small boy. Ryan recently finished music studies at Northern Arizona University and will enter into the music composition program at University of Southern California this fall. Foster daughter Dijana Hasani has sung all her life and participated in many choral groups. To date, she has sung in 100 Heavenly Harp concerts. She recently graduated high school in May.

There is no admission charge to the event. A free will offering will be taken up. A meet and greet will also take place after the concert and attendees will have the opportunity to purchase CDs, DVDs, and Karin’s book, containing stories of her work for the past 10 years as a hospice harpist.

No nursery will be provided for the event. Older children and adults will enjoy this concert.
