An unfortunate accident over the weekend has prompted the community to rally once again, this time for Clay Finkbiner, a long-time Carbon County resident, who was injured in a side-by-side accident on Saturday.
According to reports, Finkbiner was riding in a side-by-side when it rolled and ejected him, leaving him with serious injuries, including a broken back.
Finkbiner is a 2012 graduate of Carbon High and has been employed at the Carbon Country Club since he was 16. With no health insurance, the golf community was spurred to host a benefit tournament for Finkbiner, which is slated for July 15. For just $160 per four-person team, plus greens fees and carts, teams can support Finkbiner in his long road to recovery. For those looking for other ways to donate without taking to the course, a GoFundMe account deemed Help Clay Heal has been established to assist Finkbiner with associated medical costs.
