In February of this year, local David Palacios sent in a letter to the Greetings Office of the White House for a very special reason.
The White House has a program in which people can request a presidential greeting card for any birthday over 70-years-old, veterans and wedding anniversaries of more than sixty years.
Palacios’ father, Pete Palacios, is a resident of Helper City and celebrated turning 92 years old on April 20. On that same day, he received a photo and card with the official White House seal that wished him a happy birthday.
