The growth of Helper continues in the 2019 year as Mayor Lenise Peterman announced on Monday evening that the city is partnering with Utah State University (USU) in Logan for their fall Community Design Program project.

This effort is slated to focus on taking all of the initial design elements that are in place on Helper’s Main Street and creating a complete master design plan for both North and South Main Street.

“We are fortunate to work with David Evans, who is a Professional Practice Associate Professor,” Mayor Peterman stated.

Evans focus is in communication and leadership for the landscape architectural professional practice as well as urban theory and design, career counseling, employment/internship placement and community-engaged learning.

Mayor Peterman urged all to keep an eye out for an update that is projected to arrive in the spring. An entire design team is also scheduled to be onsite in the fall.
