Once again, many individuals, families, friends and more gathered on Helper’s Main Street on Friday evening to celebrate First Friday.

As per tradition, the theme for May was Cinco de Mayo and May the Fourth Be With You. In conjunction with these themes, those that attended were encouraged to dress in a costume combination of Cinco de Mayo and their favorite Star Wars character.

Cody Bunderson of Fierce MMA and Fitness welcomed children onto mats on Main Street to teach them combat skills. In addition, food vendors were set up throughout the street and Anne Jespersen Fine Arts opened the Spike 150 “Helper and the Railroad” exhibit.

As always, many galleries and businesses had their doors thrown wide open for patrons during the evening and Three Little Llamas welcomed children to make their own sombreros. A bluegrass band also entertained the crowd with lively musical numbers.
