Helper First Friday event to offer full slate of activities

Helper City’s First Friday event will take place May 3 on main street, beginning at the art walk by Iron Horse Antiques. Join the local artists showing off their current works with appetizers and drinks.

Also taking part in the event is Apricots on Main along with High Desert Growers Farmers Market. The First Friday Traveling Lecture series will take place at the Lily Gallery and will feature USU Exention Agent Ron Patterson who will speak at 8 p.m. about local gardening. The Western Mining & Railroad Museum will continue showcasing historical objects donated by Key Bank in relation to the Helper State Bank.

Balance Rock Eatery will feature the band Advent Horizon. Louise’s Gardens will also have a booth next to the eatery. Happiness Within will host live acoustic music. The Helper City Library will be selling books for $5 per bagful.
