For the third year in a row, baseball fields in Price and Helper brought out crowds of players, coaches and supporters for the Black Diamond Baseball Tournament hosted by the Helper Hitmen. The tournament began on Friday morning and rounded up Saturday evening with the championship games.
Over 35 teams from Utah, Wyoming and Colorado traveled to the Castle Country for the tournament. Players ranging from eight to 16 years old played in divisions from 8U up to 16U.
Local teams represented well at the tournament with multiple teams making it to the championship games. In the 11U division, the Carbon Sliders took the championship after battling Moab. The Carbon Raptors also brought home a win in the 10U division.
The Helper Hitmen, along with Tony and Erica Alford, would like to thank everyone who helped make the tournament successful. The Hitmen would also like to thank Brianna Welch and her crew with Price City for getting the fields ready and maintained throughout the tournament.
