Students at Helper Junior High beat on homemade drums at the school on Friday afternoon. The students made homemade drums with the help of Stan Seacrest, who came to the school on a government grant to assist students in building their drums and to share his knowledge and passion for music.

Former Helper Junior High art teacher Cathy Wilson also joined in the festivities. She and Seacrest enthusiastically led the drum circle with their own instruments.

There will be a community drum circle to celebrate the drums made by Helper Junior High students and teachers in the school gym on Nov. 22 at 5 p.m. Please plan to arrive early as the drums will be on display for the public from 3:30-5 p.m. that day.
