The FCCLA club at Helper Junior High sponsored their annual cake decorating contest on Friday. Students from the junior high along with several sixth grade students from Sally Mauro participated in the event.
This year’s theme was Disney movies, characters and cartoons. Each cake was constructed with fully edible material, judged and auctioned off to the highest bidder. According to FCCLA adviser Susan Heller, funds raised from the event will be used for the school’s anti bullying campaign and to purchase turkeys for needy families within the school.
