Helper City Mayor Lenise Peterman announced on Friday morning that Rocky Mountain Power would be conducting an emergency repair to the Helper substation.

This is due to the rolling bumps from the previous week in electrical service uncovering a faulty fuse. The company will be replacing the fuse on Friday, July 26 beginning at 3 p.m. At the announced time, the projected end of the repair was 5 p.m. of the same evening.

Mayor Peterman reported that the areas that will be impacted by this repair will include Roosevelt Street east, including the businesses located on Helper’s Main Street.

“Please be aware and bear with us as we implement this needed repair. We apologize for the short notice, but our public works team was just informed and we are doing our best to get the word out,” Mayor Peterman expressed.

She concluded by requesting that all that are able to spread the word and assist in getting the information out to as many as possible, stating that it would be greatly appreciated.
