Helper Middle School FCCLA Students to Attend National Leadership Conference in July

Helper Middle School Press Release 

Helper Middle School FCCLA (Family Career and Community Leaders of America), under the advisement of Mrs. Susan Heller, attended the State Leadership Conference on March 10-11 in Layton along with 1,500 other FCCLA members from across the state. The students listened to motivational speakers, participated in community service projects and participated in STAR (Students Taking Action with Recognition) Events competition.

Individual awards included Shaubre Stockdale, who earned a gold medal and received first place in the state in Food Innovations. Marlena Dickerson and Crystal Nef competed in Chapter Service Project Display. The two received a gold medal and received first place in the state. Tiffany Kinder competed in Life Event Planning and received a silver medal.

Three of the Star Event competitors earned the opportunity to attend the FCCLA National Leadership Conference (NLC) July 4-9 in Washington, D.C. Here, they will gather in our nation’s capital to network with fellow FCCLA members, attend FCCLA program workshops and leadership sessions, and compete in STAR Events.
