As part of a partnership between Helper City, Helper Middle School, local area senior citizens, the Utah Natural History Museum and the River Restoration, an educational program was created.
Even though this effort is in the definition phase, young adults and teachers from Helper Middle School were exposed to technological tools that would help aid in the cleanup and beautification of the Helper River on Wednesday. Some of the tasks that were performed included weeding, planting, cleaning and watering.
“We are excited for these developing partnerships and value the educational opportunities we can provide to our local area youth,” said Helper City Mayor Lenise Peterman. “Civic pride is priceless as is bringing together our community to improve the river.”
