A school-wide spelling bee at Helper Middle School took place on Thursday morning. The students worked hard to study the words and showed their strengths during the lengthy competition.

While all the students performed well, a final three were left standing triumphant. First place was awarded to Sally Shepherd, who is in eighth grade. In sixth grade, Jared Saccomanno received second place. Third place went to eighth grade student Jordan Westergard.

The district spelling bee is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, February 15 at 10 a.m. This event will be hosted at Mont Harmon Middle School. The final three students of Helper Middle School were given a booklet of spelling words to study in preparation.
