BLM Utah Press Release

Recently, 47 students from Helper Middle School ventured out of the classroom and into the Buckhorn Wash.

The Buckhorn Wash, near Castle Dale, Utah, is home to a Jurassic age dinosaur track, Fremont rock art, outlaw inscriptions, Cold War storage sites and the historic Swinging Bridge built by the CCC in the 1930’s. On April 1, 2015, BLM employees Matt Gochis and Jaydon Mead exposed students from Helper Middle School to the true meaning of multiple use management while sharing the history of the area. ‪#‎funallowed‬
