Members of the community gathered on Friday night to celebrate the Lights On Ceremony as part of the Helper Utah’s Christmas Town Festival.
Those in attendance met at the Rio Theatre on Main Street. From there, the Sally Mauro Singers led the group through Main Street to the park where the students entertained those in attendance with Christmas music. Afterwards, the lights in the park and on Main Street were turned on for all to enjoy. Santa Claus then was escorted down Main Street by a fire truck before visiting with children at the Helper Civic Auditorium.
Helper Utah’s Christmas Town Festival will continue on Wednesday at the Helper City Ceremony with a luminary memorial ceremony at 6:30 p.m.
