After eight innings and 29 runs, the Emery Lady Spartans came out of the wrong end of a 15-14 game on Tuesday in Salina.
Emery out-hit North Sevier in the game by 10, 26-16. Ambree Bennett, Morgann Donaldson and Jayla Weston each had four hits in the game. Weston also knocked in five runs in the game.
The Lady Spartans took an 11-2 lead into the bottom of the third inning before the Wolves answered with four of their own to chip away at the lead. North Sevier would go on to score four each in the fourth and sixth innings and another in the bottom of the eighth to escape with the win.
Emery (5-13, 0-6 2A East) will host North Sevier (6-9, 2-4 2A East) on Friday.
