The Helper American Legion team had a long day on Tuesday with a pair of games at two different fields. Helper and Price Legion teams squared off at 4:00 in Price at the USU Eastern Field for the first game. The hot Helper offense pounded out another 10 runs as they beat Price 12-1 in five innings of play.

East was waiting for Helper in the second game of the day at the Helper field. The result was a second league win on the day for the Helper team as they scored 11 runs on 11 hits to take down East 11-0. Helper has outscored their opponents 35-1 over the last four games.

Brandon Oliver pitched a complete game and gave up just the one run against Price.   Oliver also scattered three blasts, including two infield hits.  Bryce Blackburn , Dakota Cisneros, Derek Young and Jaren McCourt all had doubles . The game included a short delay for rain and lightning that moved into the area. Everyone on the Helper roster played in the game and had at least one at bat.

Coach Jeff Cisneros said after the game, “This was the second time we beat Price but this time it counted as a league game.   I thought both teams played extremely hard and both teams really played a good game.   Price made some outstanding defensive plays throughout the game. “
