Price City Police Department Press Release

On Monday at 11:10 a.m., Price City Officer Randy Salyer received a call of suspicious activity, possibly drug related, at a local Price motel. Officer Salyer along with officer Tyler Cressall began investigating.

They allegedly encountered the subjects staying in the room involved near the lobby of the motel. They were identified as Price residents Malisa Marie Wallberg, DOB 4-14-87, and Jared Michael D’Ambrosio, DOB 7/30/84.

Wallberg was allegedly cooperative with the officers and acknowledged certain drug related activity, and escorted Officer Salyer and assisting UHP Troopers to the room rented in her name. She allegedly consented to a search of the room. Paraphernalia including a digital scale were located along with over 70 grams of heroin and 24 grams of methamphetamine.

Meanwhile, officer Cressall interviewed D’Ambrosio, who allegedly was also cooperative about what he’d been doing there. D’Ambrosio was allegedly found to be in possession of 4.3 grams of methamphetamine, 25 grams of heroin, a digital scale and $123 cash.

All listed items were seized. Both subjects were arrested and booked into the Carbon County Jail on charges of Possession of Heroin With Intent to Distribute, and Possession of Methamphetamine With Intent to Distribute (both 2nd degree felonies), 3rd Degree Felony Conspiracy, Class A Possession of Methamphetamine (Wallberg only), Class Possession of Heroin (D’Ambrosio only), and Class B Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The Carbon County Attorney will screen the report and determine the appropriate formal charges to file.

Wallberg has nine previous offenses, mostly drug related, on her history. Wallberg currently has two plea in abeyance agreements with the court and was out on bail for a drug distribution case that occurred in May.

D’Ambrosio has 13 previous arrests, with a number of drug related offenses on his history. He was currently out on bail for a drug case that occurred in September of 2016.
