An Epic 3-D Adventure Jack the Giant Slayer is a great family flick for young ones older than ten. It is very entertaining with vivid graphics and special effects that bring life to the often forgotten fairytale Jack and the Beanstalk and Jack the Giant Killer. This film includes a little something for everyone with plenty of snot-covered battle scenes for the guys, a little romance for the ladies, and humor for all. I highly recommend Jack the Giant Slayer to all fairy tale lovers! I give this film 4 out of 5 stars.

This film is a great re-telling of the classic Jack and Beanstalk story with more adventure, romance and royalty than fairy tale versions. There is good action and adventure without over reliance on graphic violence and 3-D effects. It will entertain the whole family with the exception of the youngest children. I give this Film 4 out of 5 stars.

An entertaining and fun movie, to watch. It strays considerably from the old English tales, Jack and the Beanstalk and Jack the Giant Killer. It kept my attention through the entire movie despite being a little predictable. The humor is low key and dry, to my taste, but there could have been more in this fantasy. I plan on taking the school aged grandchildren. I give this film 3 out of 5 stars.

Great flick! The giants are more scary and ugly than in the children’s book. There are great medieval fight scenes with a variety of weapons and armor. The romance between Jack and the Princess is very sweet and innocent. Really good computer generated graphics and the 3-D really enhances the experience. I give this film 4 out of 5 stars.
