Those that had a craving for a sweet treat were in for a pleasant afternoon as Udderly Ice Cream, described as a ’50s inspired ice cream parlor that serves Leatherby’s ice cream on Helper Main Street, hosted a ribbon cutting on Saturday afternoon.
The little shop boasts many flavors, including the classics such as vanilla, chocolate and strawberry, and most of them are gluten free for those who need such a health option. Shakes and floats are also a staple on the menu for those that enjoy them. The establishment now also offers root beer floats, chocolate chip ice cream sandwiches and pistachio nut ice cream.
It was not all business as the red ribbon was cut; free face painting was available to those that wished and anyone that purchased an ice cream could also take a free hot dog. The owners of Udderly Ice Cream also announced that there is a 10% military discount off on purchases for those that qualify.
Udderly Ice Cream is located at 124 South Main Street in Helper and can be contacted by calling (435) 630-3065.
