Pinnacle boy’s basketball coach Cameron Gardner could do little as shot after shot fell short of the mark on Monday night as Pinnacle lost 40-31 to Dugway.
It was ice cold shooting from the Panthers as the team made 10 of 41 shots in a game that Gardner called “winnable.”
Both teams were not able to hit much in the first quarter. The score at the end of the first period was 4-2. Wyatt Howard had to sit early with three quick fouls. Levi Rutherford went down with an injury in the fourth just when he was starting to find his touch.
The team has a home game against Beaver on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. Gardner is looking ahead, knowing there was little to say about the effort he saw on the floor against Dugway.
