Sunnyside officials discussed a serious problem regarding the fire department’s inability to reach many areas of the city.
Narrow alleyways would hinder the City’s large fire trucks. Overgrown trees and vehicles parked on narrow city streets would also present a problem.
Councilmen discussed the dangers of a small fire turning into a big problem because of the hindrances.
Councilmen agreed to seek out all the problem areas and have them fixed. Trees will be trimmed, and new, no-parking zones will be researched.
