Emery County invites bids for the building of a carport and driveway expansion for the Ferron Senior Center. The Ferron Senior Center is located at 170 N 300 W, Ferron, Utah 84523.
The work includes removal of the asphalt driveway, pouring a new widened concrete driveway, a new carport attached attaching into the existing roofline on the west side of the senior center. All demolition and construction costs should be included as part of the proposal.
This project is funded in whole or in part by a grant through the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. The contractor will be required to comply with all federal labor standards and attendant laws, including the payment of the most current Davis-Bacon wages and compliance with Section 3 to provide employment opportunities for lower income persons and small businesses. Local, minority and woman owned business owners are encouraged to bid. The lowest responsible bidder will be selected.
Bidding documents and specifications may be obtained from the office of Brenda Tuttle located in the County Government Office building at 75 E Main Street, Castle Dale, UT 84513 beginning 5 November 2018, at 9:00 am.
Sealed bids will be received at the office of Brenda Tuttle, 75 E Main St, Castle Dale 84513 on or before 20 November 2018 at 2:00 pm. Bids will be publicly opened and read at the Emery county commission meeting to commence at 3:00 pm on 20 November 2018.
Bid bond must accompany each bid to be considered.
