Royalty was present at the regularly scheduled Price City Council meeting on Wednesday when the Bethel 3 Job’s Daughters stood in front of the council during the public comment period.

Kelly Wilkinson and Kara Maynes, guardians of Bethel 3 in Price, were present with senior princess Kayla Maynes to update the council about the grand session that will be held this year. During a grand session, members of Job’s Daughters from throughout the state come together for four days to celebrate, attend workshops and receive awards. It is estimated that 120 you women and their families will be attending the grand session this year.

To attend, members do their own fundraising to help with costs of the event. This offers the girls a chance to design and execute a fundraiser that gives them experience for the future.

The grand session is slated for June 21-24 at the Carbon County Events Center. Wilkinson also expressed that she hopes to have the grand session hosted in Price the following two years as well, bringing people back to the community.
