7th District Juvenile Judge Scott Johansen has recused himself from a case that made national headlines involving a nine-month-old foster child that the judge removed from the home of a married same-sex couple.
At a hearing on Nov 10, the judge directed the child be removed from the couple within a week, pending a hearing on Dec. 4. The judge changed the order on Friday, allowing the child to remain with the couple pending the hearing.
Johansen recused himself from the case on Monday.
