Millsite Golf Course received a new golf pro on Feb. 15 as Kasey Edgehouse stepped in to the position.
A native of Emery County, Edgehouse is excited to be starting a new season. He, his wife Joni and their children reside in Ferron. Edgehouse previously worked for Nielsen Construction for 10 years.
When asked about his aspirations for the course, his hope is that it will do well. His biggest concern is getting through the construction expected to begin this fall on the dam. During this rebuilding, holes three and four will be no longer; so, two temporary three-par holes are expected to be established.
The course will be open on Saturday, March 4 and plans to stay open unless unexpected weather conditions occur. Edgehouse said that it will pretty much be business as usual except that prices will be increasing slightly. The course is in good shape and ready to play.
Congratulations to Kasey!
