345 points in light rifle shooting by Kolton Rhodes set a new high record on Saturday at the Blue Mountain Rodeo.
At the event, the second place shooter notched 324 points. Kolton’s brother, Kagen, tied for fifth in the same competition. Kolton also placed first on Friday at the Milford High School rodeo. In the trap shoot, Kagen tied for first on Saturday while Friday saw Kolton, Kagen Rhodes and Ruger Payne tied for third.
The junior high shooting events take place at the same time as the high school competition. Emery team member Ryter Ekker received third place both days while Thomas McElprang was seventh and eighth, and Wesley King took 10th. Carbon team members Kashley Rhodes finished in eighth and seventh.
