The La Leche League of Carbon County will be meeting Wednesday, Nov. 5. The meeting will begin at 10 a.m. in the classroom at Castleview Hospital (just inside the doors under the Castleview Hospital sign). Young children are welcome.
La Leche League is an an international, nondenominational, nonprofit organization founded in 1956 whose mission is to help mothers worldwide to breastfeed through mother-to-mother support, encouragement, information, and education, and to promote a better understanding of breastfeeding as an important element in the healthy development of the baby and mother. The local group, La Leche League of Carbon County, was founded in August 2013 and has been taking helping phone calls and emails from mothers seeking support since then. They began hosting monthly meetings at Castleview Hospital on the first Wednesday of every month in June, 2014. The local group is the only breastfeeding support group in Central Utah.
