The Utah Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (UIAAA) is handing out a new academic award to varsity teams. This is the first year for the award and it will be given to the team with the highest cumulative GPA in each respective classification.
UIAAA recently recognized that the Carbon Dinos girls’ basketball team will be the first recipients of the award in the 3A classification. The Lady Dinos won the award with a cumulative varsity team GPA of 3.943.
The news comes on the heels of clinching the Region 14 Title after Carbon steamrolled Maeser Prep on Tuesday night. Congratulations to the Lady Dinos for their hard work and accomplishments both on and off the court.
