Coming off their first match of the season on Tuesday, Carbon was looking for their first win on their home court against Bear River. A four set victory by final scores of 25-13, 25-14, 24-26 and 27-25 gave the Lady Dinos their first home win of the season.
The Lady Dinos took control of the match by winning the first two sets by double digits. After a back and forth fourth set, Carbon came out on top despite dropping a close third set to the Bears.
Paving the way for Carbon was senior outside hitter Beth Child who led the team with 11 kills while senior Lauren Rice earned 23 assists. Also contributing to victory was junior outside hitter Jordan Scoggins with six kills and senior Taylor Oliver with five kills.
The Lady Dinos will hit the road and travel to Tooele on Sept. 4 for their first road match of the year.
